It can call itself "The Maserati of SUVs" all it wants. We still aren't quite sure what that means.

Does that mean it's going to be an underpowered Ferrari? The V6 turbocharged engine seems to think so: it produces a minimum of 345 horsepower but comes in versions that push that power up beyond 424 horsepower.

The Maserati Touch Control 8.4-inch touchscreen is a nice perk that adjusts the climate control, accesses smartphones via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, provides navigation and plays both music and movies through aux cable and USB sockets.

The 19.4 cubic inches of cargo space doesn't really scream SUV, but the twin-turbo engine that automatically shuts down when the car stops and roars to life when it moves is a nice touch. As are the Ermenegildo Zegna leather seating, the 360-degree exterior camera views and the suite of sensor-based safety features.
